FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Court documents outline the arrest of Eric Jensen following a shots-fired incident in Fargo on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Jensen is charged with terrorizing, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm within city limits. Fargo police are still searching for another individual involved in the case.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire around 8 p.m. and located Jensen on Fargo’s south side. Jensen cooperated with police and disclosed he had a pistol in his pocket.
According to the documents, Jensen explained that his husband’s friend, Richard Johns, had been staying with them due to homelessness. Jensen stated that Johns had taken his husband’s vehicle, prompting him to search for Johns.
Jensen reported locating Johns in the 3300 block of 17th Avenue South. Both exited their vehicles, after which Johns fled on foot. Jensen admitted to firing two warning shots into the air to stop Johns.
Jensen is scheduled to appear in court on February 20.
