Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On January 19, 2025, at approximately 1:42 a.m., a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling westbound on Interstate 94 near the Mounds Boulevard exit in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The vehicle exited the roadway to the left and collided with an overhead signpost. Upon impact, the vehicle ignited and was fully engulfed in flames when emergency responders arrived. The male driver, who was the sole occupant, sustained fatal injuries. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the incident. The driver’s identity will be released by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner following positive identification and family notification. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash, including factors such as seatbelt usage, airbag deployment, and potential alcohol involvement.
