MOORHEAD, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A jury has convicted Robert Icanberry of second-degree murder in connection with the death of 60-year-old Terry Klevgaard, whose body was discovered in his Moorhead apartment on April 17, 2023. Court documents indicate that Klevgaard was murdered on April 1, 2023, but his body remained undiscovered until the 17th. Preliminary autopsy reports attribute the cause of death to “multiple sharp force injuries.”
The trial, which concluded on Tuesday, July 14, presented jurors with various pieces of evidence, including crime scene photographs, 911 call recordings, surveillance footage, and video taken in Fremont, California, where Icanberry traveled after the incident. The trial was initially set to begin in December; however, it was postponed after the State submitted an amended witness list, prompting the defense to request additional time for preparation.
Sentencing for Icanberry is scheduled for February.
