Three individuals lost their lives, and one was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 169 in Garrison Township on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. near Channel Drive when a southbound Ford F150 entered the northbound lanes and collided with a Dodge Durango. The road conditions were reported to be snow- and ice-covered at the time of the crash.
The Ford F150 was driven by Lee William Page, 59, of Coon Rapids, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Lisa Marie Brunes, 59, also of Coon Rapids, was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Both individuals were wearing seat belts, and the vehicle’s airbags were deployed. Authorities are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Dodge Durango, driven by Jeremy James Hohansee, 53, of Remer, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Hospital in Baxter. Kari Sue Hohansee, 51, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered fatal injuries. Both occupants of the Dodge Durango were wearing seat belts, and the vehicle’s airbags were deployed.
