Two Injured in Red Lake County Single-Vehicle Rollover Accident

Red Lake County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at approximately 10:22 PM, a single-vehicle accident occurred in Equality Township, Red Lake County. A 2001 Buick Park Avenue, driven by 23-year-old Keric William Carpenter of Thief River Falls, was traveling northbound on 340th Avenue Southeast when it departed the roadway near 200th Street Southeast. The vehicle overturned multiple times before coming to rest in the northbound ditch.

Both Carpenter and his passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls for treatment. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities have determined that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the incident.

The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. Officials emphasize the importance of seatbelt use, noting that proper restraint significantly reduces the risk of injury in traffic accidents.
