FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — On December 17, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper conducted a traffic stop in a parking lot located at 2535 23rd Avenue South in Fargo. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Oscar Lee Jr. from Moorhead, Minnesota, was suspected of driving under the influence with children present in the vehicle.
Upon attempting to arrest Lee for DUI, he resisted by kicking at officers and struck a trooper multiple times. He continued to resist and issued threats until he was secured in the patrol vehicle. The trooper sustained minor injuries and received treatment at Essentia Health.
Lee faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a DUI test, driving under revocation, resisting arrest, assault on a peace officer, and terrorizing. He was transported to Cass County Jail.
