FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 15, 2024, at approximately 7:07 p.m., a North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Ford Explorer was parked on the right shoulder of eastbound Interstate 94 near mile marker 342, attending to a prior crash scene with its emergency lights activated.
Collision Details
A 2018 Toyota Sienna, operated by 49-year-old Karen Galuszka from Markham, Ontario, was traveling eastbound on I-94. As the vehicle approached the crash scene, it lost control on the icy roadway and collided with the NDHP vehicle, striking the driver’s side rear area.
Occupant Status
At the time of the collision, the state trooper was outside the patrol vehicle conducting an investigation into the initial crash. Neither the trooper nor Ms. Galuszka sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
Ongoing Investigation
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
