Vikings at Titans: How to watch, odds, expert picks with Minnesota facing potential trap game

The Minnesota Vikings look for their third straight win when they head to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 11. The Vikings are road favorites against a Titans team tied for the second-worst record in the NFL.

How to watch Vikings at Titans

Minnesota (7-2) managed just four field goals last week, but that was still enough to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 12-7.

The offense generated 28 first downs, but Sam Darnold threw three interceptions, and the Vikings went 0-for-5 in the red zone.

Darnold has now thrown five picks in the last two games compared to that many in the first seven contests. He’s still putting together a strong season and is tied for fourth in the league with 17 touchdown passes, but the turnovers have to be a concern. More support from a running game that’s produced just four rushing touchdowns would certainly help.

Turnovers have been a season-long problem for Tennessee (2-7), which is second to last in the NFL with a -11 differential compared to Minnesota’s +4, though both teams have committed roughly the same number of giveaways. The difference between the two teams is that the Titans offense hasn’t been productive enough, even when the unit is able to limit the mistakes.

Last week was the first game in which the Titans didn’t commit a single turnover, yet they finished with 289 total yards in a 27-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. It was the sixth time this season that Tennessee gained less than 300 yards.

These offensive woes are even more aggravating considering the Titans defense is ranked No. 1 overall and against the pass. What’s interesting is that they are holding teams in check despite a lack of takeaways (six total) or consistent pressure (18 sacks). Contrast that to the Vikings’ league-high 15 interceptions and 30 sacks (sixth in the NFL), and there’s even more evidence as to why these teams are mirror images of each other in the win-loss column.
