Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: November 9th, 2024

1) Patriots Pull Off a Steal from Vikings: Part of the risk of having a player on the practice squad. If another team is willing to carve out an open 53-man roster spot, then it can swoop in for the steal. Tyrese Robinson will now try to help the New England Patriots get back on track.

2) Vikings Defender Hits IR: Always tough news when a player needs to step away for some time in the infirmary. The large lad who lives in the middle of the defense has been a nice surprise. The UDFA has proven to be sturdy along the defensive line, so it’s possible that Taki Taimani ends up being a long-term solution at DT.

3) Vikings Reportedly Targeting 2 Positions via Trade: In the end, the deadline came and went without more additions being made. Nevertheless, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah deserves credit for bringing in RB Cam Akers and LT Cam Robinson. Yes, a third deal would have been exciting, but it’s quite possible that saying “no” to the available options was the right call.

4) Vikings Have League’s Biggest Surprise, Says NFL.com: From the outside looking in, a lot of folks are surprised. Sam Darnold hasn’t exactly had a great career since entering the NFL as the No. 3 pick. Working for Kevin O’Connell, though, has been going well for Mr. Darnold.

5) Of Course It Is: Bad News for Vikings Rookie: Really tough break for the rookie kicker. Will Reichard has been phenomenal as a rookie. In fact, continuing on his current pace would have made it ultra difficult to keep him off of the All Pro team. After all, drilling literally every kick (until the injury game) is the definition of elite for the position. Ideally, some time in the infirmary will result in the kid getting back to (near) perfection.
