The Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans issued their first injury reports of the week in advance of their Sunday matchup in Nashville. Here they are:
Minnesota Vikings
- QB Sam Darnold, Right Hand, Limited
- RB Aaron Jones, Ribs, Limited
- OLB Gabe Murphy, Knee, Limited
- TE Josh Oliver, Wrist/Hand, Limited
- LT Cam Robinson, Foot, Limited
- OLB Andrew Van Ginkel, Hip, Limited
- LB Blake Cashman, Elbow, Full
- S Theo Jackson, Hand, Full
- LB Ivan Pace Jr., Knee, Full
In his press conference today, Kevin O’Connell didn’t have any real injury concerns and was generally more upbeat about their injury situation. It sounds like everyone on the list is dealing with a minor injury that isn’t likely to keep them out on Sunday.
Gabe Murphy is listed as he’s in his return from IR window, but not sure when they’ll feel the need/readiness to activate him, which would require a corresponding roster move.
Tennessee Titans
- OLB Arden Key, Back, Did Not Practice (DNP)
- CB Roger McCreary, Knee, DNP
- RB Tony Pollard, NIR- Rest, DNP
- DT Jeffrey Simmons, NIR-Rest, DNP
- L’Jarius Sneed, Quad, DNP
- Leroy Watson, Back, DNP
- DB Justin Hardee, Groin, Limited
For the Titans, Sneed remains their biggest concern.
L’Jarius Sneed is a starting corner and has missed a few games with a quad injury. It sounds like it is a more extensive injury than originally thought, and although he’s missed several games, there still is no timetable for his return and he hasn’t been able to practice. It was initially thought to be a quad bruise, but was later diagnosed as a quad strain, which seemingly has a longer timeframe to return. It would seem unlikely at this point that he’ll play on Sunday.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan said he expected everyone else on the Titans injury list to play on Sunday, as they’re either dealing with minor injuries or are having a rest day.
We’ll see how things develop as the week progresses, but right now no major concerns for the Vikings and really only one for the Titans in Sneed.
