SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State’s Rylin Petry has been named the Summit League Peak Men’s Golfer of the Week for the second time this season, announced the league office on Thursday afternoon.
Petry led the way for NDSU last week, helping the Bison to win the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in the final NDSU event of the fall semester. The junior shot all three rounds under par with a 70-67-70 on the par-72 course to finish seventh overall at -9.
The 67 was a collegiate career best for Petry, topping a 68 earlier this season. His 54-hole total of 207 was also a new career low and his -9 was tied for the ninth best 54-hole tournament score in program history.
Thursday’s award is the third for the Bison this season. It is also the second for Petry this year, after he won the opening golfer of the week honor in early September.
