Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A man with no permanent address was arrested after a robbery at a Fargo business.

Police identified the suspect as Philip Parks, 36. Police say the suspect assaulted an employee during the theft. The employee was taken to a local medical facility. Injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Calls started Saturday morning

Officers were sent out at 10:16 a.m. on Saturday, police said. The call came from a business in the 4500 block of 19th Avenue South. Staff told police a suspect assaulted an employee. Staff said the suspect stole money. Staff said the suspect left the area in a vehicle.

Police did not release the business name in the initial update. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with helpful information can contact the local police.

Vehicle found near NP Avenue

At 12:03 p.m., officers located a vehicle tied to the report, police said. The vehicle was in the 200 block of NP Avenue. Officers conducted a traffic stop. Parks was not inside the vehicle, police said.

Two occupants were arrested during the stop. Police say the arrests were for drug paraphernalia possession. The occupants were identified as Leroy Manning, 37, of Fargo, and Lena Fogle, 37, of Fargo. Police have not stated whether either is connected to the robbery.

Suspect arrested later Saturday

Police continued to look for Parks throughout the afternoon. At 3:48 p.m., officers located Parks in the 700 block of A Street North, police said. Parks was arrested for robbery. He remains in jail, pending formal charges expected Monday.
