Three players returning to practice Wednesday

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers opened the practice window for three players Wednesday.

Veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen and starting safety Jordan Fuller were designated to return from injured reserve, opening the 21-day window for them to practice. They can be activated at any time in that window.

They were placed on IR on Sept. 24 after suffering hamstring injuries against the Raiders and have missed the last four games.

Outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum also returned to practice. He’s been on the physically unable to perform list after complications following offseason surgery.

Signed in free agency from Minnesota, Wonnum was expected to start at outside linebacker, and his return helps a group that has looked at a number of options in recent weeks.
