Bison Cross Country Wins Team Title at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – The North Dakota State University men’s cross country team won the team championship at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday afternoon, finishing in front of 30 Division I schools to claim the title.
 
The Bison posted a team score of 139 points, beating Kentucky (160), Iowa (165), and Michigan (165) to top the podium.
 
Senior Hunter Klimek led the Bison men, taking fourth place overall in 23:52.3 for the eight-kilometer race. NDSU senior Jake Arason finished 14th with a time of 24:09.7.
 
Redshirt freshman Ethan Moe placed 48th in 24:35.1, Regan Bosch was 56th in 24:39.2, and Will Gerber completed the NDSU team scoring in 57th place with a time of 24:39.3.
 
Klimek has paced the Bison in all four meets this season. His time on Friday stands as the fifth-fastest 8k in NDSU’s D-I era.
 
The meet featured more than 270 men’s runners. Tyson Mahar (70th) and Demetrius Farmakis (77th) both added top-80 finishes for NDSU.
 
The Bison will race next at the Summit League Championships in Vermillion, S.D., on Nov. 2.
