Deadly Dash: Teen Driver’s Fatal Mistake on County Road 46

ROSEMOUNT, Minn (trfnews.i234.me) – A tragic traffic incident has left two families grieving in Minnesota. A 15-year-old driver, identified as David Rojas, attempted to pass a semi-truck on County Road 46 near Biscayne Avenue Monday afternoon in Rosemount.

According to the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, Rojas was traveling east behind the truck and pulled into the westbound lane in a no-passing zone. Witnesses reported an oncoming vehicle driven by Dennis Dahlstrom, 81, approaching approximately one-quarter of a mile away. In a desperate bid to avoid collision, both drivers swerved onto the shoulder at the same time.

Unfortunately, their efforts were not enough to prevent the tragic outcome. Both Rojas and Dahlstrom lost their lives in the crash. A passenger in Dahlstrom’s vehicle sustained critical injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
