Two DUI-Related Motorcycle Crashes at I-29 Main Ave Exit in Fargo Injures One

In the early hours of October 6, 2024, two motorcyclists were involved in separate DUI-related crashes on Interstate 29 northbound at the Main Ave exit in Fargo.

Matthew Boucha, 36, from Harris, MN, lost control of his 2014 Harley Davidson while exiting onto Main Ave. The bike slid across the road and into a ditch, resulting in serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Boucha was transported to Sanford Hospital and charged with driving under the influence.

Following behind him, Jonathan Hinnenkamp, 35, from Avon, MN, witnessed the crash and attempted to assist. However, he also lost control of his motorcycle, which rolled into a ditch and struck a fence. Hinnenkamp was not injured but was also arrested for DUI.

The incident is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
