Tragic incident: Diver identified as William Rebarich, 50, drowns in Embarass, MN lake on Sunday afternoon



CRANE LAKE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A SCUBA diver drowned in a Minnesota lake Sunday afternoon. He’s now been identified as 50-year old William Rebarich of Embarass, Minnesota.

  1. As a SCUBA diver I can attest to the hazards of working at that depth. Even trained divers can makes mistakes and get in trouble.
    Was there only one diver in the water? Safety proceedures recommend two in case of some emergency.

  2. 70 feet is consider a little deeper than typical recreational but still pretty shallow for commercial or salvage diving. I'm an advanced rated with mixed gas/nitrox diver and any kind of salvage requires a DETAILED plan along with experience. It would be too soon to assume anything until an investigation is completed. I hope the families are OK.
