Cass Lake Investigators Seek Tips in Teen Shooting
CASS LAKE (trfnews.i234.me) — Investigators are asking the public for information about the shooting death of a Minnesota teenager.
Dylon Oothoudt, 17, of Walker, was found dead on Sept. 13.
He was found in the yard of a home in rural Cass Lake.
The home is on the 1600 block of John Moose Drive NW in Pike Bay Township.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled the death a homicide.
Officials determined Oothoudt died from a gunshot wound.
Investigators Seek Witnesses
Investigators have identified a gathering of people near the scene around the time of the shooting.
Authorities believe other people may also have been in the area.
Some may have witnessed the shooting or have information about what happened.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.
They are also seeking the identities of witnesses and others who may have been involved.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office said people can provide information anonymously.
Investigators said even small details could help determine what happened.

Several Agencies Assisting
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department is assisting with the case.
The Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force is also assisting investigators.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is providing help as well.
No arrest was announced in the information released Wednesday.
Authorities have not identified a suspect or released further details about the shooting.
The investigation remains active as officials continue seeking witnesses and information.
