Thief River Falls Woman Charged in Meth Child Case
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — Christine Rae Good, 41, faces two felony charges in Pennington County District Court.
Good is charged with a third-degree controlled substance crime involving methamphetamine in a park zone.
She also faces a methamphetamine-related felony involving a child.
Good was arrested following the investigation, according to the criminal complaint.
Search Warrant Leads to Meth Investigation
The case began when officers executed a search warrant at Good’s Thief River Falls home.
The original warrant was connected to an investigation into a reported theft at Pizza Ranch.
During that search, officers allegedly noticed suspected methamphetamine paraphernalia inside a bedroom.
They also found several small plastic bags inside a container, the complaint states.
One bag allegedly contained white residue.
A presumptive field test reportedly showed a positive result for methamphetamine.
An investigator then sought a second search warrant for narcotics and related evidence.
The complaint states that a minor child also lived at the residence.
Police Report Multiple Items With Residue
Officers returned with the second warrant and searched the home for suspected drug evidence.
They allegedly found a glass pipe on a bedside table.
The pipe reportedly contained residue that tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine.
Officers also allegedly found a wooden lockbox on the bedroom floor.
The complaint says the box contained three pipes, small plastic bags, and other drug paraphernalia.
A card bearing Good’s name was also reportedly found inside the box.
Investigators allegedly found another glass pipe inside a container under the bed.
Other items reportedly included scales, bags with residue, a mirror, a razor blade, and a broken bong.
A small bag containing suspected methamphetamine was also allegedly found on a bedroom shelf.
The bag weighed about 0.4 grams with its packaging, according to the complaint.
Additional suspected drug paraphernalia was allegedly found on top of the kitchen refrigerator.
Child Was Living in the Home
The complaint says the child’s bedroom was near the bedroom where suspected meth was found.
Investigators also reviewed an earlier welfare-check report involving the residence.
That report alleged methamphetamine had been left where the child could potentially reach it.
Good and another adult reportedly denied ownership of the suspected drugs during that earlier contact.
A juvenile investigator planned to seek a temporary protective hold for the child.
Two Felony Charges Filed
