After 6-8 feet the water in these quarries goes from warm to instant freezing cold causing the person to gasp due to the shock of hitting such cold water. These kids are not warned to jump shallow, dive shallow. My Dad lost a friend back in 1957 in the quarry park. That quarry was 80 feet deep. The young man went to the bottom sadly.
