On the evening of 09/27/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a golf cart in the ditch along Hwy. #92 south of Oklee. A Red Lake County deputy located the driver/owner of the golf cart at their residence. The driver had minor injuries but refused medical treatment. The golf cart was removed from the ditch the following day.
On the afternoon of 09/28/24, Tracy Ann Olson (26) of East Grand Forks was cited for speeding on CR. #11 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 09/28/24, Nicolas Gonzalez Jr. (45) of Grand Forks was cited for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 09/29/24, Isaac Teod Villarreal Gonzalez (40) of Glasston, ND was cited for speeding on CR. #7 east of Hwy. #59.
On the afternoon of 09/29/24, Lauren Hayward Johnson (36) of Thief River Falls was cited for speeding on CR. #12 south of Hwy. #92.
On the afternoon of 09/29/24, Emily Rae Knutson (38) of Red Lake Falls was cited for speeding on Hwy. #92 west of Brooks.
On the afternoon of 09/30/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that an elderly female was sitting in a vehicle near the gas pumps at Eagle Square in Red Lake Falls. The caller felt that she was in need of some assistance. A Red Lake County deputy responded and found the individual. The deputy contacted family members, and they got the female and her vehicle home safely.
On the evening of 09/30/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a power pole blown over by high winds in an alleyway near McLean Ave. in Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County deputies secured the area until Ottertail Power Company crews could remedy the issue.
On the evening of 09/30/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual being harassed in Lambert Township. Red Lake County deputies spoke with the parties involved, counseled, and mediated the situation.
In the early morning hours of 10/01/24, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls. Investigation during the stop revealed that the driver, Chad David Cardinal (42) of Red Lake Falls was intoxicated. Mr. Cardinal was arrested, taken to jail in Crookston, and was booked for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was released from custody later that day and he will be summonsed to appear in Court later this month.
On the evening of 10/02/24, the Red Lake Falls Fire Department, the Red Lake Falls Ambulance and Red Lake County deputies were dispatched to a tractor fire in a field along CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls. There were no injuries, but a tractor and a bailer were completely destroyed. It appeared that the fire started in the bailer while it was parked and unattended.
On the afternoon of 10/03/24, Owen Jacob Storey (39) of Kindred, ND was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 10/03/24, Bryan McCauley Gregory (30) of Thief River Falls was cited for speeding on CR. #11 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the afternoon of 10/03/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a School Bus Stop-Arm violation that occurred on CR. #5 north of Oklee. A Red Lake County deputy conducted an investigation and found that the suspect driver was a juvenile female from Oklee. They will be criminally charged with the violation, and they will be summonsed to appear in Juvenile Court at a later date.
On the afternoon of 10/03/24, Clayton Robert Kessler (22) of Buffalo, MN was cited for speeding on CR. #1 east of Red Lake Falls.
