The Series
The Bison and North Dakota will meet for the 21st time in series history on Sunday. The Bison lead the series with a 12-6-2 mark, dating back to the first-ever meeting on October 23, 1999. The two teams tied 0-0 last season, snapping a two-game winning run for the Bison. NDSU is 6-4 in games played in Grand Forks.

Wrapping Last Week
The Bison picked up four points to sit tied atop the Summit League standings after the opening weekend of the season. Morgan Russmann scored the first goal in league play, as NDSU picked up a 1-1 tie at Omaha to open up the league season. Hannah Arnold then scored a second half goal to lift NDSU to a 1-0 win over Kansas City on Sunday.

Arnold Strikes Again
After missing the Minnesota game with an injury, Hannah Arnold made her return against Saint Ambrose, coming off the bench as a substitute. 13 minutes into her return, Arnold scored her first collegiate goal with a left-footed strike from outside the box into the top right corner to put the Bison in front.

A week later, Arnold added her second career goal, and her second game-winning goal, as she broke a scoreless tie with her second half goal in a 1-0 victory over Kansas City.

Russmann Strikes at Omaha, Adds Assist at Kansas City
Freshman Morgan Russmann scored her fourth goal of the season in the league opener at Omaha, scoring in the opening 15 minutes to help NDSU to a 1-1 tie. On Sunday, Russmann added her first career assist, as she forced a turnover in the penalty area before setting up Hannah Arnold’s goal to give the Bison the victory. Russmann is tied for the team lead in goals and has nine points overall.

Bison Record Sixth Shutout
Payton Mulberry and the Bison added another cleansheet with the win over Kansas City, with the team matching last season’s total of six. Mulberry earned her fourth overall this season and fifth of her career. NDSU recorded cleansheets in three-straight matches earlier this season at Green Bay, against Alabama State and at Hawaii Pacific, with all three Bison keepers earning a shutout during the run. It was the first time in nearly two years to record three-in-a-row, with the last cleansheet run coming in September of 2022.
