POLK COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 38-year-old Fargo man has pleaded not guilty to two felony drug charges in Polk County. Dyllan Matthew Peltier was charged with conspiracy to commit a first-degree controlled substance sale and third-degree sale of a controlled substance.
According to court records, the conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years, although Minnesota sentencing guidelines recommend between 65 and 125 months, two-thirds of which would be spent in prison while the remainder would be on supervised release. Peltier was charged with these crimes in early 2022 after being found with approximately 17.2 grams of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Peltier’s case has been ongoing since he was initially arrested on unrelated charges in North Dakota, where he had been held until August this year when Polk County custody took over. He is currently being held on a $75,000 cash or surety bond.
A pre-trial hearing for Peltier is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. October 22nd. His plea of not guilty indicates that he intends to contest the charges against him and will likely require legal representation throughout this process.
