FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) – A 21-year-old man from the Netherlands, Jim Jan, was tragically killed in a UTV rollover accident on Sunday in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the side-by-side vehicle rolled over, throwing Jan from the machine before landing on top of him.
Witnesses at the scene attempted to lift the UTV off Jan but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the UTV, 43-year-old Jan Nijland of Brandon, Minnesota, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. His current condition remains unknown.
Multiple agencies, including Parker’s Prairie Ambulance, Millerville Rescue, and the Minnesota DNR, responded to the scene to assist with the incident.
