Dear idiots it was not a spy balloon, but a delivery system trial, two parts, to evaluate the Biden response and test the balloon for delivering ……, over American territory.
Course it's just a theory, must have been some in-fighting over who's responsibility it was to ensure America's safety. So they let it proceed unhindered. no-one is accountable again.
And now you know how satellites "hang" around on endless plane Earth. This one had issues and came down from it's position unexpectedly. Thank God there's no actual spy satellites up in space, spying on us. China doesn't have that technology anyways. And thankfully we didn't hesitate to bring it down as soon as we knew what it was. NORAD gets a pat on the back for keeping us so safe, so fast. All the world is a stage, at its finest. I'm glowing with excitement.

One of the great intelligence victories of WWII was when we recovered a mostly intact Zero fighter in the Aleutian Islands & learned it’s weaknesses. If this balloon is not recovered the skullduggery goes deep.
