Grand Forks Man Accused of Death Threat, Ambush Plan
Grand Forks, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks man faces a felony charge following an alleged series of death threats.
Scott A. McGreevy, 60, is accused of threatening another man through text messages.
The allegations are detailed in a police affidavit filed in Grand Forks County District Court.
Police were called at about 11:46 a.m. on September 13.
The call involved a report of alleged menacing and terrorizing.
Victim Reports Threatening Messages
The alleged victim told police that McGreevy had sent several threatening text messages.
The man said the messages caused him to fear for his safety.
According to the affidavit, one message referred to ammunition with the victim’s name on it.
Another message said McGreevy knew where the man worked and when he returned home.
The victim provided police with screenshots of the messages, according to court documents.

Police Contact McGreevy
Police later contacted McGreevy at his home on 27th Avenue South.
Officers advised McGreevy of his Miranda rights before speaking with him.
The affidavit says McGreevy then made additional threats against the alleged victim.
He allegedly told police he would kill the man.
The filing says McGreevy also threatened to shoot the man in the head.
Police say McGreevy acknowledged sending the text messages.
Investigators also allege he described a plan to ambush the victim.
The affidavit does not indicate that the alleged plan was carried out.
Felony Terrorizing Charge Filed
McGreevy was arrested on a felony charge of terrorizing an adult victim.
The case was filed in Grand Forks County District Court.

The charge against McGreevy is an accusation and has not established guilt.
McGreevy is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
