I remember my neighbor would use gas to start a fire except the fire was already going and pour it on a live fire. That was dumb on his part. I used charcoal lighter and poured in on the small pieces of wood and let it soak in a few hours before I started my fire pit and never had any issues.

Orlando has naturally formed limestone sinkhole lakes all around and in the city. Houses are often swallowed up by these sinkholes when they form new lakes.

Mannnn, I was camping with a buddy and a friend of his he brought ,Jake Miller, sitting there eating breakfast around the fire I saw a really smooth, red hot surface, looked out of place. I grabbed a stick and moved some coals to see what the heck it was. It was a 1 lb. Propane tank shoved into the coals upside down. I said a few choice words and ran off to cover, my friend's idiot friend he brought just fished it out of the fire with a couple of sticks and said, "My bad, I didn't know". Glad I saw it, fk sakes, people's kids man.
He currently in Prison in Idaho for the 2nd time, for hit and run on multiple people in one night downtown Boise.

We had an unopened beer can roll into the fire and nobody noticed it until it was too late and it was a large fire then the fire was gone in one spectacular explosion logs were blown out of the pit maybe 12 feet smaller stuff went further and most of it was not burning just hot the next morning you could see everything was covered in black dots even found stuff in the road nobody was hurt everyone had black dots all over their clothes and faces
Campfires do not explode, even if an accelerant is used to prime them. That is, unless someone tosses a container of flammable liquid into the fire. Idiots.

Two times in my life a next door neighbor ended up in the hospital with burns to their legs from using gasoline to start a fire. Don't do that.
