Wrapping Last Week
The Bison went 1-2 on a three-match swing in five days through Hawaii last week. The Bison defeated Hawaii Pacific (1-0) to open the trip, before falling in both games of the Outrigger No Ka Oi, losing to Grand Canyon (0-1) and then host Hawaii (1-4).

A Third for Russmann
Freshman Morgan Russmann scored her first two collegiate goals in NDSU’s last home game against Alabama State, netting a second half brace just four minutes apart. Russmann added to her tally against Hawaii, splitting the defense for a one-touch finish for her third collegiate goal.

Kavanagh Nets Second Game Winner
Devon Kavanagh has scored the first two collegiate goals of her career this season, and the junior has picked vital spots to do so, with both of her goals being game winners. Her most recent winner came in a 1-0 win at Hawaii Pacific last week, with Kavanagh scoring on a tight angle free kick.

The Kavanagh-Russmann Connection
Devon Kavanagh and Morgan Russmann teamed up for two goals against Alabama State and added another against Hawaii. Both times against Alabama State, Kavanagh played crosses in from the right wing. At Hawaii, Kavanagh and Russmann played a little give-and-go, ultimately leading to a through ball that split the defense and set up a one-touch finish for Russmann.

Three-Straight Cleansheets
With a 1-0 win at Hawaii Pacific, the Bison recorded cleansheets in three-straight matches, including at Green Bay and against Alabama State. It’s the first time in nearly two years with the last consecutive cleansheet run coming in mid-September of 2022. All three NDSU keepers had a cleansheet during the streak.
