ST. PAUL, MN (trfnews.i234.me) Despite a push by Republicans, Minnesota State Senator Nicole Mitchell of Woodbury says she’s not resigning, after being charged with Burglary in Detroit Lakes.
Hey, if a convicted felon can run for president then she should be allowed to remain in office, too. It’s a new day!
While I’m sympathetic to what Senator Mitchell has been through, I feel resigning is the right thing to do for herself and for the DFL. This event will continue to dog her, and she needs to look at what’s best for everyone.
The republicans would find a way to blame the corpse of Hugo Chaves or Nicholas Maduro's great aunt or George Soros. I mean, if we can have a president who is a felon, then we can have a state senator who isn't even convicted yet, right? Where my hillbillies at to all agree?
Of course she's not guilty, she's a Democrat in a state run by Democrats. She has every right to be selected for a government position.
The people's respect for the system, the party, the laws, is eroded when criminals are making the laws.
It would be wise, long term, for the parties to ensure that all of their members at least appear worthy of respect.
She is obviously very immature and self centered.
