The Series
North Dakota State and South Dakota are set to meet for the 100th time in the all-time series. The two teams have played 98 times entering the weekend, the third most played series in NDSU history, with the Bison holding a 68-30 lead overall. Last season, the Bison took two of three, winning 2-0 and 5-4 after an 8-0 loss in the series opener.

4-Home Run Game
North Dakota State hit four home runs in game two of the series with Kansas City, the most in a game this season and the most since hitting four at Memphis on March 4 last season. It is tied for the most home runs for the Bison at Tharaldson Park since opening the stadium in 2019. NDSU hit four as the road team against North Dakota on May 1, 2022 in a series moved from Grand Forks.

Seniors Leave Tharaldson with Home Runs
All three Bison seniors hit a home run in their finale home series at Tharaldson Park last weekend. Anjolee Aguilar-Beaucage hit a two-run home run in the win in game two, followed by Emilee Buringa hitting another two-run home run an inning later for her first-ever home run at Tharaldson Park. Reanna Rudd wrapped up the weekend with a two-run home run in the series finale on Sunday.

Buringa Reaches 150
Senior Emilee Buringa became the 12th Bison to start 150-consecutive games in NDSU’s Division I era two weeks ago, and enters the weekend at 154, tied for the 11th longest streak with Amanda Grable (2013-15). Buringa has started every game for the Bison in the ’22, ’23 and now ’24 seasons. Montana DeCamp (163) and Zoe Stavrou (176) were the last to reach 150, doing so in the 2019 season.

The Young Herd
NDSU is fourth youngest in NCAA Div. I on average years of experience, averaging 1.000 years per player. NDSU is youngest of any team on the ’24 schedule. In the Summit League, St. Thomas is next at 1.458. Wofford (.543), Wagner (.737), Green Bay (.913) and Coppin State (1.038) are the other teams in the top five youngest programs.
