Bison Men’s Cross Country 22nd at NCAA Midwest Regional

STILLWATER, Okla. – The North Dakota State men’s cross country team took 22nd place at the NCAA Midwest Regional held on Friday morning in Stillwater, Okla.
 
Senior Hunter Klimek paced the Bison men by taking 71st place overall, running 32:12.7 for the 10k course. Zach Johnson finished 85th in 32:24.7, and Symon Keiser was 101st in 32:38.9.
 
Jake Arason clocked 32:45.7 for 109th place, and Payton Smith ran 32:54.4 for 122nd to round out the team scoring for NDSU.
 
Host Oklahoma State won with a score of 19 points. Iowa State joined the Cowboys as the second automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championships from the region.
 
It was the second straight season that Klimek was NDSU’s top finisher at the Midwest Regional. Keiser and Smith both improved upon their regional placings from one year ago.
 
The NCAA Midwest Regional completes the season for the Bison.
