Four Minnesotans and Utah Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Salt Lake City

UTAH, USA (trfnews.i234.me) – A devastating multi-vehicle crash southeast of Salt Lake City claimed the lives of four Minnesotans and one Utah man on Thursday. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that the fatal accident occurred when an SUV attempted to merge using an acceleration lane but overshot it, driving into the path of a semi-truck. The truck driver tried to avoid the SUV, but lost control and veered into westbound traffic, striking the SUV carrying the Minnesotans.

The victims from Minnesota have been identified as 56-year-old Sang Her and 38-year-old Lee Thao from Brooklyn Center, along with 26-year-old Bee Moua and 25-year-old Mai Lor from St. Paul. Additionally, 35-year-old Gustavo Mendoza of Helper, Utah, who was riding his ATV on the westbound shoulder, was also struck and killed by the out-of-control semi-truck.
