Thief River Falls Woman Sentenced in Assault Cases

Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — Jessica Lynn Meier, 38, has been sentenced for three offenses.

Meier was sentenced for two fourth-degree assault offenses.

She was also sentenced for making an emergency call when no emergency existed.

Three other charges against Meier were dismissed.

Stayed Jail Terms Ordered

For the first fourth-degree assault offense, Meier received a 364-day jail sentence.

The court stayed 361 days for two years.

She received credit for three days already served.

Meier was also placed on supervised probation for two years.

She must follow all recommendations connected to her civil commitment.

Meier was ordered to pay $210.

For the second fourth-degree assault offense, she received another 364-day jail sentence.

Again, 361 days were stayed for two years.

She must also follow recommendations from her civil commitment.

The court ordered her to pay $50 for that offense.

Meier was also sentenced for making an emergency call when no emergency existed.

She received a 90-day jail sentence for that offense.

Meier again received credit for three days served.

She was placed on supervised probation for one year.

The court also ordered her to follow recommendations from her civil commitment.

Meier was ordered to pay $50 on the emergency-call offense.

Another fourth-degree assault charge against Meier was dismissed.

Two charges of obstructing arrest were also dismissed.

Those dismissed charges did not result in convictions or sentences.
