Bison Women Voted Preseason Favorites in Summit League Cross Country Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women’s cross country team has been voted the preseason favorite to claim the 2024 Summit League cross country championship, according to the coaches’ poll released by the league office.
 
The Bison women were picked to finish atop the league with 45 total points and four of the eight first-place votes in the poll. The South Dakota State women claimed two first-place votes and 44 total points for second, while South Dakota earned the remaining two first-place votes and 39 points for third.
 
NDSU returns its top four finishers from the Summit League Championships last season in senior Grace Link, senior Reagan Baesler, sophomore Logan Harz, and junior Aleah Miller. The Bison will also add a group of 10 freshmen to this season’s cross country squad.
 
The Bison women have captured five conference team cross country championships since 2011.
