Yelloh, Formerly Schwan’s Home Delivery, Shutting Down After 72 Years, Laying Off 176 Minnesota Employees

Bloomington, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — Yelloh, formerly known as Schwan’s Home Delivery, is set to close its doors in November, marking the end of a 72-year legacy of delivering frozen goods to customers’ homes. The brand, which rebranded from Schwan’s in 2022, announced that 176 employees in Minnesota will be laid off on November 22nd.

Yelloh operated out of several Minnesota locations, including Bloomington, Eagan, Maple Grove, Marshall, Sauk Centre, Truman, and Zumbrota. Schwan’s, founded in Marshall, Minnesota, in 1952, became known for its iconic yellow refrigerated trucks.

Company officials attributed the closure to the shift toward digital shopping, which has overtaken the personal, at-the-door service that was once a hallmark of the business.
