NDSU Women’s Track & Field Team, 10 Individuals Named USTFCCCA All-Academic


The North Dakota State women’s track & field team and 10 of its individual student-athletes were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic performers, the organization announced this week.
 
As a team, the Bison women recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.61 to earn the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award for the 19th consecutive season. A minimum team cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required for the award.
 
Arienne Birch, Bailee Dierks, Grace Emineth, Nell Graham, Kendra Kelley, Salmata Korgho, Lexi Maples, Alex Seagris, Merrideth Spiers, and Makenna Vollmer were recognized as All-Academic individuals.
 
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event on the official NCAA performance list; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships, including preliminary rounds.
 
Dierks, Emineth, Graham, Kelley, Korgho and Seagris were all repeat All-Academic selections from one year ago.
