Baesler Races to 4th-Place Finish to Lead Bison Women at Griak

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – North Dakota State’s Reagan Baesler raced to a fourth-place finish at the Roy Griak Invitational on Friday morning, leading the Bison women’s cross country team to 10th place in the team standings.

Baesler clocked 21:35.7 for the six-kilometer race at Les Bolstad Golf Course, taking fourth out of more than 200 runners. Only Kelby Anderson, who finished third at the 2018 Griak, has placed higher in the school’s Division I era at the meet.

The Bison women took 10th as a team – the top Summit League school in the meet, and an improvement of two places over last season.

Behind Baesler, NDSU’s Grace Link placed 55th in 22:57.0. Freshmen Reagan Berg (23:10.6) and Jenna DeBates (23:11.8) took 70th and 71st, respectively. Bison junior Aleah Miller rounded out the team scoring as the No. 5 finisher, placing 97th in 23:35.7.

Kate LeBlanc took 100th in 23:40.6.

The Bison will race next at the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., on Oct. 4.
