Joshua Anthony Jones, 36, of Bemidji, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree attempted murder following a deadly shooting spree near homeless encampments in south Minneapolis. Prosecutors allege that Jones, a longtime member of the Native Mob gang, fatally shot Robert Milton Brown, 39, in an alley on Bloomington Avenue S. around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Hours later, Jones allegedly shot and wounded another man near E. 24th Street and S. 18th Avenue. Earlier that same day, police believe Jones killed Roland Scott Littleowl, 20, in another alley near 17th Avenue S.

The three shootings, which occurred within 15 hours, involved head wounds, and authorities are investigating potential connections between Jones and his victims. Jones, who has a criminal history of assault and fleeing police, is being held on $1 million bail.
