JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Jamestown man, Christopher William Johnson, 40, faces multiple felony charges after his 2-year-old child overdosed on fentanyl. On Sept. 18, a judge rejected Johnson’s plea deal, leaving him to face trial on Oct. 1. Johnson is charged with endangerment of a child (Class B felony), reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C felonies), and ingesting a controlled substance (Class A misdemeanor).

The charges stem from a June 2 incident in which the child overdosed on fentanyl at Johnson’s residence. Court documents revealed that Johnson admitted to using fentanyl while the child was present. Police found syringes and drug paraphernalia within reach of the 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. The child was revived with NARCAN and transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for stabilization
