Walker: Semi Driver Charged in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Walker (trfnews.i234.me) — A Pennsylvania truck driver faces two felony charges after a fatal motorcycle crash. The crash happened in Cass County.

Timothy William Arthur Hall, 33, of Emlenton, Pennsylvania, is charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide.

The crash happened around 3:57 p.m. on August 20, 2026, on Minnesota Highway 371. The scene was near Highway 200 in Shingobee Township, south of Walker.

Complaint Describes Fatal Highway 371 Crash

According to the complaint, investigators found a heavily damaged motorcycle near a cable barrier. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators that a semi had left the crash area. They also gave authorities a description of the truck.

Law enforcement later stopped the semi and identified Hall as the driver. Hall denied being involved in a crash, according to the complaint.

Investigators reported damage on the semi that appeared consistent with the collision. The complaint also describes possible biological material on a mud flap.

Witnesses Allege Semi Swerved Toward Motorcycle

Multiple witnesses said the semi moved toward the shoulder while the motorcycle tried to pass. The witnesses described the movement as intentional, according to court documents.

They alleged the semi pushed the motorcycle toward the cable barrier. The motorcycle then crashed, and the semi traveled over the rider.

The complaint states that the truck continued from the scene without stopping.

Dash Camera Footage Reviewed

The trucking company later provided dash-camera footage to investigators. Court documents say the video showed several quick movements by the semi.

Investigators said the motorcycle first tried to pass on the left. The semi then moved left, according to the complaint.

The motorcycle later attempted to pass on the right shoulder. Investigators allege the semi then moved toward the shoulder and cable barrier.

The complaint states the roadway was clear of debris. Investigators reported no road hazard that would explain the movements.

Two Felony Counts Filed

Hall is charged with criminal vehicular homicide involving alleged gross negligence. He also faces a count alleging he caused the collision and left.

Each charge carries up to 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine, or both. Minnesota law is available through the Minnesota Revisor of Statutes.

State collision duties are listed under Minnesota Statute 169.09.

The charges are allegations. Hall is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
