FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fargo man is facing a series of charges following a slow-speed chase with police on Sunday evening. The suspect, identified as Kolby A. Deichert, was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle in Fargo. When officers arrived at the scene, they were prepared, placing spike strips by the wheels of his car, anticipating a potential escape attempt after Deichert had already evaded them earlier.
As officers attempted to wake him, Deichert suddenly took off, flattening three of his tires on the spike strips. Despite the compromised state of his vehicle, Deichert continued driving, surprisingly obeying traffic laws and maintaining a speed of 25 mph.
The unusual pursuit ended when Deichert eventually stopped and surrendered to the authorities without further incident. He now faces felony charges for possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor charges for DUI refusal and driving under suspension.
