FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – South High School in Fargo, North Dakota, experienced a tense afternoon on Wednesday when a bomb threat forced the school into lockdown. The unsettling event unfolded around 2 p.m. when the school office received a chilling phone call claiming bombs had been planted both in and around the school.
Given the gravity of the situation, school administration immediately implemented emergency protocols, locking down the entire campus. The Fargo Police Department was swiftly involved, and together with school officials, they conducted a comprehensive search of the premises, including the parking lot.
Despite the alarming nature of the threat, the investigation revealed no actual danger. Authorities quickly determined that the call was most likely a swatting incident—a hoax designed to elicit a large-scale emergency response.
After confirming that the threat was unfounded, the lockdown was lifted, and all students and staff were declared safe. School officials later communicated the situation to parents and staff via email, assuring them that there was no real threat to the school community.
