Naytahwaush Man Charged After $16 Vehicle Theft
Naytahwaush (trfnews.i234.me) — Bryce Leroy Auginaush faces a misdemeanor theft charge in Mahnomen County District Court.
The charge stems from a reported vehicle entry on November 6, 2025. The incident happened near a charter school in Naytahwaush.
According to the criminal complaint, Michelle Wadena was told that someone had entered her vehicle. She later checked the vehicle and noticed two items were missing.
The complaint says a pack of cigarettes and a lighter were taken. The combined value was about $16.
Surveillance Video Cited
Court records say law enforcement reviewed surveillance video from the school area.
The complaint alleges the video showed Auginaush inside the building before he was asked to leave. It then showed him entering another vehicle.
That vehicle later moved near Wadena’s vehicle, according to the complaint.

Investigators allege Auginaush got out from the passenger side. The complaint says he then entered Wadena’s vehicle.
The video appeared to show him looking around inside the vehicle, according to court records. He then returned to the other vehicle.
Misdemeanor Theft Charge
Prosecutors charged Auginaush with misdemeanor theft under Minnesota law.
The complaint alleges he took movable property without the owner’s consent. It also alleges he intended to permanently deprive the owner of that property.
The court document lists the property value as less than $500.
The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. It also lists a possible fine of up to $1,000.
