Detroit Lakes Woman Charged in Burglary Case

Detroit Lakes (trfnews.i234.me) — Matraccia Sky Lague, 29, faces burglary and assault charges after a June incident.

Lague, of Detroit Lakes, was charged in Becker County District Court.

She faces felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault charges.

The charges stem from an alleged domestic incident on June 12.

Police Respond To Minnesota Avenue

Detroit Lakes police responded to a reported disturbance on Minnesota Avenue.

According to court records, officers arrived as Lague allegedly followed a woman outside.

An officer allegedly saw Lague throw the woman to the ground.

Police then arrested Lague at the scene, according to court records.

After receiving a Miranda warning, Lague spoke with investigators.

She allegedly said she confronted the woman over a personal relationship dispute.

The dispute involved the father of Lague’s children, according to the court allegations.

Woman Describes Alleged Entry

The woman told police she had been sleeping before hearing banging at her front door.

She said she answered the door and was allegedly punched several times by Lague.

Lague then left the residence, according to the woman’s account in court records.

The woman locked the door and called 911.

Investigators allege Lague then forced her way back inside the residence.

The woman ran outside before officers allegedly witnessed the confrontation continue.

Lague Released Pending Court Hearing

Lague was released while the case remains pending.

Her release conditions include having no contact with the woman.

She must also stay away from the woman’s residence.

Other conditions prohibit alcohol and controlled substance use.

Lague must submit to random testing and take part in pretrial supervision.

An omnibus hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17 before District Judge Michael D. Fritz.
