Walker Woman Charged With Felony Jail Assault

Walker (trfnews.i234.me) — A Hackensack woman faces a felony assault charge after an arrest in Walker.

Sage Josephine Jackson, 21, is charged in Cass County District Court. The case stems from events on July 14, 2026.

Jackson faces one felony count of fourth-degree assault involving a correctional employee. She also faces one misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.

Incident Reported At Walker City Park

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to Walker City Park around 8:18 p.m.

A caller reported an intoxicated woman who was disturbing people at the park. Jackson was later identified as that woman.

The complaint says Jackson repeatedly approached children who were swimming. She allegedly tried to get them onto her float.

Her swimsuit also reportedly slipped down and exposed her breasts. The reporting person told police the behavior caused concern.

An officer contacted Jackson and believed she was highly intoxicated, according to the complaint. She reportedly struggled to answer basic questions.

Police told Jackson she was too intoxicated to drive. The complaint says she then attempted to leave the area.

Police detained Jackson after she allegedly tried to pull away. She reportedly attempted to run but fell to the ground.

Jackson was then arrested and taken to jail.

The complaint says jail staff began the booking process after Jackson arrived.

While inside a holding cell, Jackson allegedly punched a correctional employee in the right arm.

Investigators documented visible bruising on the employee’s arm after the alleged assault.

The felony charge was filed under Minnesota Statute 609.2231.

A conviction on that count can carry up to two years in prison. It can also carry a fine of up to $4,000.

The disorderly conduct charge is filed under Minnesota Statute 609.72.

That misdemeanor carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine.
