Marshall County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Marshall County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported that 81-year-old Richard Wayne Jorde of Thief River Falls sustained injuries when his 2022 Ford Maverick collided with a northbound Chevrolet Suburban on Highway 59 in Excel Township.
A young passenger in the Suburban, a boy from Roseau, was also injured and taken to the Thief River Falls emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Suburban, 26-year-old Austin Donald Lefrooth of Stranquist, and two other passengers were unharmed.
Lefrooth was the only person involved who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which occurred around 8 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
