UNITED STATES (trfnews.i234.me) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, now Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, began his first solo campaign events today. He addressed the National Convention of the ASI Government Employees Union in Los Angeles and later attended a fundraiser in Newport Beach, California. Walz’s campaign will take him to Denver, Boston, Newport, Rhode Island, and Southampton, New York, throughout the week.
While some Republicans continue to criticize Walz, particularly regarding his military service and handling of the Minneapolis riots after George Floyd’s death, he also received unexpected support. Former Minnesota Republican Party Deputy Chair Michael Brodkorb endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket, citing the need to defend core Republican values. Brodkorb praised Vice President Harris as “qualified, capable, and committed” and emphasized Walz’s ability to unite people.
