Moorhead Man Charged After Cocaine, Guns Seized

Moorhead (trfnews.i234.me) — A Moorhead man faces several felony charges after a drug investigation Tuesday.

Levetric Tramel Jackson, 39, was arrested without incident at a south Moorhead apartment, according to police.

Narcotics detectives served a search warrant in the 3400 block of 18th Street South.

The warrant followed an investigation into suspected drug sales at the apartment complex.

Cocaine, Handguns and Cash Reported Seized

Police reported finding 164 grams of suspected powder cocaine inside the home.

Investigators estimated the cocaine had a street value of about $16,000.

Three 9 mm semi-automatic pistols were also recovered during the search.

Police also reported finding 9 mm ammunition, handgun accessories and $9,370 in cash.

Jackson told investigators the seized items belonged to him, according to the police account.

The suspected drugs will require testing before their contents can be confirmed in court.

Three children were inside the apartment when detectives carried out the warrant.

The children’s mother was contacted and took custody of them, police said.

No details were released about the children’s ages or whether anyone needed medical treatment.

Jackson was taken to the Clay County Jail following his arrest.

Police listed four felony counts connected to the search and alleged drug activity.

First-degree possession involving 50 grams or more of cocaine or methamphetamine.
First-degree sale of cocaine.
Child endangerment involving drugs near a child and alleged substantial bodily harm.
Child endangerment for creating a situation that could cause harm or death.

The Moorhead Police Department received help from two other law enforcement agencies.

They were the Cass County Drug Task Force and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges are accusations and have not been proven in court.

Jackson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty through the court process.
