Steve Martin Declines Role as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on SNL

NEW YORK, NY (trfnews.i234.me) – Actor and comedian Steve Martin has declined an offer to portray Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on “Saturday Night Live.” Despite being a popular choice on social media, Martin reportedly told SNL creator Lorne Michaels, “I’m not an impressionist; you need someone who can really nail the guy.” Martin humorously acknowledged that he was likely considered for the role due to his gray hair and glasses, which are similar to Walz’s appearance. Meanwhile, Maya Rudolph is set to reprise her role as Vice President Kamala Harris, a character she has portrayed on the show since 2019. Martin even joked on social media, saying, “I learned that Tim Walz wants to go on the road with Marty Short.”
