PERLEY, Norman County (trfnews.i234.me) ā Fire crews responded Thursday evening to a reported elevator fire in Perley, Minnesota.
TRF News received the first report from viewers in the area.
They said they saw smoke near the top of a local elevator.
Viewer video showed a small amount of smoke from the roofline.
Crews called to the scene
Witnesses told TRF News that several fire departments were called in.
They said crews worked in very cold and windy weather.
One witness described temperatures near -5 degrees.
They also described winds near 32 mph with stronger gusts.
The same witness reported wind chills near -33 degrees.
Those numbers have not been confirmed by officials.
By about 8 p.m., witnesses said crews were clearing the scene.
They also said the fire was controlled and out at that time.
No injuries were confirmed in the information shared with TRF News.
The cause of the fire is not known yet.
